Welcome to Our Next Chapter

We're turning the page to a new chapter in the story of our lives. Thanks for joining us!

You see, Storly and I are both communicators by profession - Storly through radio; me through writing, photography, design etc. We're usually communicating about the ministry we're part of in Haiti, Radio 4VEH; or Storly is preaching and teaching the Bible.

But there's a bigger story, and that's God's story. His story in our lives. We're at a pivot point. So, we're taking the plunge to share our story with you. Please be patient with us as we find our voices in the blogosphere!

Our family in 2008, on Esther's
dedication day at Première Eglise Baptise
de Cap-Haitien (1st Baptist)
Why now? Good question. Five years ago today, we left our home in Cap-Haitien, Haiti for a short trip to the US. We had just finished building our house, our daughters were little (Hannah, 2 1/2 years old; Esther 6 months old) and we expected to be in Haiti for years to serve with Radio 4VEH (Storly was Director then).

Then God threw us a curveball. Unexpectedly and unwillingly, we ended up needing to live in the US. (A complicated story...not one to share today). Though Storly and I have been back to Haiti many times since then, it has been just one of us going, while the other stays home (in Indiana) with the girls.

But tomorrow, we are heading back to Haiti TOGETHER, en famille, for two months to serve at the radio station, and help host several (actually lots of) short-term mission teams coming down to help. And we'd love to share this journey with you.
